‘Glee’ Tribute to Cory Monteith Airs Tonight

Tonight (Oct. 10), Gleeks all over the globe say goodbye to “Glee” star Cory Monteith in an emotional tribute episode dedicated to the young star and his character Finn Hudson. The episode, titled “The Quarterback,” represents more than just Finn’s high school football career, but Monteith’s role among the show’s cast as well.

The episode will feature songs including “Make You Feel My Love” by actor, and real-life girlfriend, Lea Michelle.  Show creator, Ryan Murphy, has not offered detailed plans for the episode, but has said that drugs will not be the cause of Finn’s death.  Murphy described the episode as “incredibly difficult to work on,” and the episode is expected to be equally difficult to watch.

Watch a preview of the episode below. The tribute episode of “Glee” airs tonight at 9/8c on Fox.

Cory Monteith died on July 13 at the age of 31 from a toxic combination of heroin and alcohol.
