First Look at Robert Rodriguez’s ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ TV Series
On Thursday Robert Rodriguez’s El Rey Network released a trailer for its first scripted original show “From Dusk to Dawn: The Series”.
The supernatural crime drama is based off of the 1996 film of the same name that starred George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino. The new series will have D.J. Cotrona and Zane Holtz in the starring roles and will run for 10-episodes.
The series focuses on bank robber Seth Gecko and his violent brother Richard “Richie” Gecko, who are on the run from the FBI after a bank heist leaves many people dead. The Gecko brothers end up taking a former pastor and his family as hostages and use the family’s RV to go to Mexico. However, the group ends up at a strip club full of vampires where they must fight for their life until dawn.
The series also features Jesse Garcia, Don Johnson, Robert Patrick, Madison Davenport, Brandon Soo Hoo, Eliza Gonzalez, and Wilmer Valderrama.
The El Rey Network launched back in December and airs English-language shows for a Latino audience. “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series” will premiere March 11 at 9pm ET/PT.
