Emmy Nominations Are in with Surprises and Snubs

Another year of quality TV has passed us which means Emmy nominations are in!

The HBO epic Game of Thrones lead all shows with 24 nominations. Some welcome surprises include Amy Schumer’s nomination for Lead Actress in a Comedy in her sketch comedy show Inside Amy Schumer and Tiraji P Henson for the portrayal of Cookie Lyon on the FOX hit show Empire. Henson’s Lead Actress in a Drama nod was the only nomination Empire received, even though it was the highest rated new show in years. Some shows and actrors/actresses might of been snubbed but the list is a representation of another great year in television.

The 67th Primetime Emmy Awards will air on September 20th on FOX. This years awards will be hosted by former SNL Alum and Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg.

Here is a partial list of this years nominees. Click here for the full list!
