Disney is bringing back the beloved animated cartoon DuckTales!
After Disney teased fans in September with a re-created DuckTales introduction that included real ducks, DuckTales fans can now rejoice with the animated reboot launching in 2017.
Disney XD is bringing back the late ’80s cartoon starring Scoorge McDuck and his grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie, and Donald Duck in a new animated series.
“DuckTales’ has a special place in Disney’s TV animation history, it drew its inspiration from Disney Legend Carl Barks’ comic books and through its storytelling and artistic showmanship, set an enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults,” said Marc Buhaj, SVP, Programming and General Manager, Disney XD. “Our new series will bring that same energy and adventurous spirit to a new generation.”
The series will follow the optimistic and clever little ducks and their adventures. The series will also include beloved characters Duckworth, Gyro Gearloose, Launchpad McQuack, Flintheart Glomgold, Magica DeSpell & Poe, Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys, Mrs. Beakley and Webbigail Vanderquack.
Disney XD will launch the new DuckTales series sometime in 2017.
