DC Comics’ ‘Lucifer’ Gets Pilot Order from FOX

FOX has ordered a pilot for the TV adaption of DC Comics’ Lucifer.

Lucifer is a villain based on The Sandman series who becomes bored being the Lord of Hell and locks the Gates to Hell. Lucifer then retires to earth and settles in the city of Los Angeles, where he opens a piano bar and helps the LAPD punish criminals.

The pilot will be directed and executive produced by Len Wiseman (Sleepy Hollow). Californication creator Tom Kapinos is writing the script and executive producing the pilot along with Wiseman, Jerry Bruckheimer (CSI), Jonathan Littman (CSI) and KristAnne Reed, who will serve as co-executive producer.

FOX has not announced when they plan to air the pilot.
