- Dance music divas Madonna and Nicki Minaj battled for domination as they both released their albums in April. Madonna scored the top album of the week, “MDNA,” with more than 350,000 units sold in its debut week.
- Comedian Daniel Tosh, host of the Comedy Central show “Tosh.O,” will perform live Friday, April 6 at the Bayou Music Theater in downtown Houston.
- The Motion Picture Association of America agreed to allow the movie “Bully” to be rated PG-13 rather than R, which allows more children to watch the film. Only a few profane words were omitted from the movie to allow for the changed rating.
- The Jacksons will take part in a tour, which includes a July 14 stop at Bayou Music Theater.
- Rapper Rick Ross will perform Saturday, April 7 at Bayou Music Theater.
