“American Idol” auditions return to the Houston area for the first time in several years and while the episode focused more on the singers who were memorable for all the wrong reasons, like Phong Vu and Alejandro Cazares, 54 of the people who auditioned before judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez were awarded the ‘golden ticket’ to the Hollywood auditions.
Singer Cheyenne James from Conroe performed for the judges and drove a wedge between Lopez and the boys’ club of Jackson and Tyler. Lopez showed plenty of support for James, but it was not enough to convince the guys to vote for her to advance to the Hollywood round of auditions.
James visited FOX 26 Morning News this morning and shared her Galveston audition experience with reporter Ruben Dominguez.
