After the top six “American Idol” finalists competed, only five singers remained.
Singers Hollie Cavanagh, Skylar Laine and Elise Testone were in the bottom three, but in the end, Testone gathered the least amount of votes from the public.
Joshua Ledet, from Westlake, La., Cavanagh, 18, from McKinney, Texas, and Laine from Mississippi, are the three remaining finalists who originally auditioned in Galveston.
As the finalists waited to learn who would be eliminated, they and the audience were treated to guest performances by “American Idol” Stefano and pop music superstar Katy Perry, who performed “Part of Me” wearing military-style camouflage shorts.
Dave Morales from BackstageOL analyzes Testone’s elimination in this edition of ‘Idol Chatter.’
