CBS has announced a multitude of stars who will be appearing at the 68th annual Tony Awards including Bradley Cooper, Kevin Bacon, Will Ferrell, Clint Eastwood, Zachary Quinto, and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
Carole King, who is the subject of Best Musical nominee Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, will also be appearing, as well as Matt Bomer, Gloria Estefan, Audra McDonald, Zachary Levi, Liev Schreiber, Kate Mara, Lucy Liu, Emmy Rossum, Ethan Hawke, Zach Braff, Fran Drescher, Wayne Brady, Kenneth Branagh, Emilio Estefan, Leighton Meester, Patricia Clarkson, Anna Gunn, Tony Goldwyn, Alessandro Nivola, and Vera Farmiga.
Many of the presenters have some connections to Broadway. Drescher, Meester, Braff, Branagh, and McDonald are all currently performing on “The Great White Way,” while Quinto and Levi made their stage debut last season. A few will also be appearing on Broadway later this year, including Gyllenhaal, Cooper, Clarkson, and Gunn. Gloria Estefan’s On Your Feet musical that is based on her life will be hitting the stage in the fall of 2015, and Clint Eastwood directed the film adaptation of Jersey Boys which will be coming to theaters this June.
X-Men: Days of Future Past star High Jackman is set to host the event live from New York City’s Radio Music Hall on Sunday, June 8 at 8pm EST on CBS.
