Reports are indicating that Apple will pull the wraps off the next version of the popular iPhone next month. The company is expected to unveil the new iterations of the newest smartphone at a special event on September 10th.
As usual, there is speculation surrounding what features the next iPhone will have. The only thing that can be considered certain is that a new Apple device will run an updated operating system, the IOS 7, which Apple unveiled in June at the Worldwide Developers Conference.
According to technology blog AllThingsD, the new gadget could also include a fingerprint recognition feature.
Nothing is official, but if true, the reveal of the new iPhone would come almost one year after the current model, the iPhone 5, was announced. It is not clear if the new phone will follow Apple’s traditional naming for models and be released as the iPhone 5s.
