Three men who are accused of base jumping off of New York’s Freedom Tower turned themselves into authorities on Monday after posting a video of their death-defying jump online. This is the same tower 16-year-old Justin Casquejo was caught taking photos of himself on the roof of earlier last week after sneaking past security.
The video dates back to September 30 when daredevils James Brady, Andrew Rossig and Marko Markovich decided to jump off the 1,776 tall Freedom Tower, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. Shot from a helmet camera, the video shows a jumper falling for several seconds before pulling his ripcord and landing in the middle of an intersection in lower Manhattan.
All three individuals have been charged with felony burglary, misdemeanor reckless endangerment and misdemeanor jumping from a structure. The trio says any money made from advertising on the video will be donate to charity.
