Following OTA’s, Texans defensive end JJ Watt tried to describe his last Instagram post. Embarrassed, Watt couldn’t help but notice his teammate Kareem Jackson laughing, his response “I was trying to get abs like you, K-Jack”.
Jackson hadn’t seen the photo until the day of the press conference, but glad he didn’t see it earlier saying he “would’ve given him hell”.
Watt explained the social media posts stating that “You know when like the light catches you at the right angle and you’re looking like – I was like, ‘OK, well that has to go out. You don’t look like that every day. When it’s out, it’s out. It just happened to catch — I don’t know, I was in the right light. I had something close to abs. Doesn’t happen that often. I like food too much.”
A reporter asked what was the craziest response to the photo, the defensive end refrained saying “You can’t say that in a press conference..I’m not allowed to say. People are wild on social media, they will literally say almost anything. It’s getting hot up here.”
Teasing Watt has turned into a pass time for Texans players. Linebacker Brian Cushing stated on a recent radio interview that some of the players have a texting group dedicated to JJ’s social media posts.
