NBA Finals Game Two: Draymond Outplays the Cavaliers

NBA Finals Game Two

The Cleveland Cavaliers couldn’t score inside in Game One, and the Golden State Warriors bench took over for an MIA Stephen Curry.

Now Game Two of the NBA Finals has met its conclusion with Cleveland losing to the Warriors, 77 – 110.

The Cavs came out weak, with Draymond Green and Co. outscoring Cleveland with a 52 – 44 lead to end the half. For the second game in a row, the Cavs couldn’t hit their shots. Their supporting cast underwhelmed again, as Kyrie Irving proved ineffective and Kevin Love scoring five until leaving in the third quarter experiencing dizziness from an errant Harrison Barnes elbow in the second .

The second half was all on Klay Thompson. With Curry exiting the beginning of the half with four fouls, Klay came out strong hitting three of four. The score differential went up to 20, and it didn’t stop there!  The Warriors built up to a 32 point lead in the middle of the forth.

In the end, Curry and Klay took a back seat but contributed with 18 and 17 points respectively. The Warriors bench brought it with Shaun Livingston, Leandro Barbosa, and Andre Iguodala continuing their production from Game One. Green muscled and out played the Eastern Conference Champions finishing with 28 points, five assists, and seven rebounds on 11 – 20 shooting. Proving he is still the heart and soul of this team.

It was the same ol’ story for Cleveland. A solid performance from LeBron James, finishing 19 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds. But the team finished 28 – 79 on the floor and going 27% on the three point line. The Cavs were also out rebounded, grabbing 34 boards to Golden States 46. To sum it up, they were out classed tonight!

LeBron looks take two back at home as the Cavaliers host the Golden State Warriors. Game Three of the NBA Finals is on Wednesday, June 8 at 8 PM CST on ABC.
