With Kevin Love out with a concussion for Game Three, the pressure was on the Cavaliers to actually show up! The team was decimated in Game Two with a 33 point beat down lead by Draymond Green.
Without Love, the Cavs still managed to show their down but not out.
It was another huge diffrential, but this time Cleveland was on the winning end.
It was a 30 point blow out for the Golden State Warriors, one of or thee biggest loss for Golden State this season. Players put in a limited performance, including Draymond Green and Klay Thompson. Combined they went 6 for 21 on the field for 16 points. Shots wouldn’t go in on the three point line as they averaged 27.3% beyond the arc, contributing to 42.1% on the game! 18 turnovers also turned in to more opportunities for the Cavaliers.
It was a tale of two cities for Cleveland. Coming from Oakland and losing in horrible fashion, hope had to be kept alive during their home stand. Kyrie Irving and LeBron James challenged the Warriors to outscore them and they succeeded. Both players combined for 62 points, a little over half the teams points! Golden State’s poor shooting percentage led to more rebounds as they out dueled the reigning champs by 20 boards. Cleveland’s starters couldn’t miss as they went 52.7% on the game, going 48% on beyond the three point line.
Irving tries to stay hot and win one more at home to even the series. Game Four of the NBA Finals is on Friday at 8 PM CST on ABC.
