The NBA Finals has gone from zero to a hundred real quick. A series that looked to be in the Warriors favor, has now gone to a Game Seven!
LeBron James was determined to get the Cavs win, scoring 41 points for the second consecutive game. Not to count contributions from J.R. Smith, Tristan Thomson, and Kyrie Irving, this team played great basketball. Coming out strong out the gate, while Golden State played outside themselves.
Missed opportunities, bad switches, and turnovers hurt the Warriors, who could’ve closed it out last night. Instead we saw a team play their worst basketball in two seasons. MVP Stephen Curry was inefficient missing 22 shots adding up to 30 points. Draymond Green failed to stay on the floor, while Klay Thompson denied taking over the game for a streaking Curry.
Cleveland saved its season in hopes of bringing their first ever championship since 1964. They would also be the first time to come back from a 3-1 deficit to win a title, if they win this decisive Game Seven. Golden State will try to salvage their historic season with a win at home and become the two time NBA champions.
Game Seven of the NBA Finals is on Sunday at 7pm on ABC.
Final:
Cleveland Cavaliers – 115 Golden State Warriors – 101
