NBA Finals Game Four: Warriors Out Duel Cavaliers

Hustle, back and forth lead changes, fast breaks, three pointers were everything the first three games should’ve been in the NBA Finals. A chess match to decide who is the better team in the NBA.

While that didn’t come in the begging of the series, it sure came in Game Four!

It was three and a half quarters of great basketball that pushed both the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavalier to the brink. With a win, one team was a game away for the Larry O’Brien trophy, the other would gain momentum and even the series.

In the end, Golden State took over the game to gain a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals. The Cavs were held scoreless in the six and half minutes of play in the fourth quarter. It was lead be a resurgence of two time MVP Stephen Curry, who went for 38 points while reclaiming his touch beyond the arc. A record setting 17 threes fueled the teams win, but Cleveland continued to answer back.

It was a great effort for the Cavaliers who answered the Warriors for three quarters. Kyrie Irving was on fire yet again, going for 34 points. LeBron James was tested. While he went for 25 points, 13 rebounds, and 9 assists, James was ineffective from three and coughed the balls up seven times. It grew testy as well with forward Draymond Green as both came to blows in the game.

Now the Warriors go back home where they hope to close out the series! Will there be confetti reigning down from Oracle Arena? Or will Golden State fans bow down to the king? Game Five of the NBA Finals is on Monday, June 13 at 8 PM CST on ABC.
