Minnesota Vikings Acquire QB Sam Bradford From The Philadelphia Eagles

The Minnesota Vikings have agreed with the Philadelphia Eagles to acquire starting quarterback Sam Bradford.

In return, the Eagles will receive a first round pick in 2017 and an additional fourth round pick in 2018.

Minnesota has been looking desperately for a quarterback after the team learned Teddy Bridgewater would be out for the season with a serious left knee injury. Bridgewater sustained the injury during practice on August 30.

Bradford will be reunited with offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur. Shurmur held the same position with the Saint Louis Rams (now L.A. Rams) when the team took Bradford with the first overall pick in 2010.

With the Vikings starting quarterback problem resolved for the time being, the Eagles will go with Chase Daniels to run their offense. Philly also traded up in this years NFL draft to select Carson Wentz with the second overall pick, but Wentz has only played in one preseason game due to a rib injury.

Bradford demanded a trade from the Eagles back in April. Reports have said that the former Eagles quarterback was upset about the teams quarterback selection in the draft, questioning if Philly wanted him as their starter.
