While being interviewed for an upcoming promo for NBA 2K14, Michael Jordan was asked by Ahmad Rashad what NBA players would beat him in a game of one-on-one. Jordan was sure he could take on Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Julius Erving, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Lebron Jamesi n their prime, but there was one player he was unsure he could beat, Kobe Bryant.
“I don’t think I would lose,” Jordan said, “other than to Kobe Bryant because he steals all of my moves.” That’s no lie, Kobe’s playbook is almost entirely full of Jordan moves. Watch the video below:
Jordan’s explosiveness to the basket, fadeaway and impeccable defense would give him an advantage over any player trying to match him up on the court. Even though Lebron is stronger than MJ ever was, Jordan’s faders would rain right over Lebron’s head. Plus, MJ always get the calls. He’s MJ.
“The Greatest” was then asked whether Kobe or Lebron was the better player. Jordan responded with a smirk, “Kevin Durant.”
All in all, MJ praised Kobe for his determination and the amount of championships he has won, but “in terms of dominance in the game of basketball at this stage, it’s LeBron,” Jordan explained.
