Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant will star in the upcoming feature-length Showtime documentary Kobe Bryant’s Muse.
The documentary will give viewers the inside look of one of NBA’s greatest players. It will show Bryant’s ups and downs of his 18-year career, as well as him preparing for his return next season after his recent achilles heel surgery and rehabilitation.
The documentary, directed and produced by Gotham Chopra along with executive producer Kobe Bryant, will air this Fall.
Chopra said, “As a lifelong Boston Celtics fan, never did I imagine I would collaborate with Laker great Kobe Bryant. Kobe’s quest for greatness transcends rivalries, and I’m excited by his and Showtime’s willingness to go down this rabbit hole together. I’m confident audiences will be intrigued by what comes out the other side.”
Executive VP and GM of Showtime Sports, Stephen Espinoza, said “Kobe Bryant’s Muse will offer viewers a deep character portrait of a professional athlete who has transcended his sport to become a culture-moving personality.”
