Johnny Manziel’s Career Might Be Over After Current Incident

When it was announced that quarterback Johnny Manziel would be cut by the Cleveland Browns, it was something everyone saw coming. The experiment in Cleveland didn’t pan out as it hoped, mostly due to Manziel’s excessive partying and drinking habits. Yet players as talented have been able to bounce back and be great players, but this is turning into a unique case.

TV station WFAA reported earlier today that Manziel’s ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, told police that the quarterback told her to “shut up, or I’ll kill us both” after forcing her into a car. The report also stated that she was hit and dragged by her hair. This isn’t the first time Crowley and Johnny have gotten into an altercation as they were in a public dispute in October of last year.

The report also stated that he was acting “as if he were on some kind of drugs”. Johnny since then has talked to TMZ Sports stating that “It didnt happen”. He also stated that he is “completely stable. I’m safe and secure”.

Manziel wasn’t charged by  Fort Worth police and consider the case closed, saying that “no reported criminal offense occurred”. Dallas police also conducted a follow up investigation and since then have closed the case.

The Cleveland Browns released a statement saying “Johnny’s continual involvement in incidents that run counter to those expectations undermines the hard work of his teammates and the reputation of our organization. His status with our team will be addressed when permitted by league rules. We will have no further comment at this time.”

A league source told ESPN that the Browns will release the Heisman Trophy winner due to this current incident.
