Highly-Touted University of Florida QB Accused of Sexual Assault

Treon Harris, a former 4-Star recruit and a backup freshman quarterback at the University of Florida, has been suspended indefinitely amidst an allegation of sexual assault.

Harris is being investigated for an incident that took place early Sunday. A female University of Florida student claims Harris sexually assaulted her around 3:00 AM inside an on-campus residence hall.

Harris will not participate in any team activities while Gainsville PD and University of Florida PD continue to investigate the matter. The Gator football team was informed of the incident earlier today.

The allegation comes after Harris positioned himself to start for the Gators this weekend against LSU. He was inserted late in the second half of Florida’s game against Tennessee, leading the struggling offense to two scoring drives in a 10-9 victory.
