Deadly Storm Leaves Howard, Fans Stuck at Toyota Center

After the Houston Rockets fought for a 128-115 Game 4 victory win over the Warriors, Dwight Howard and many Rockets fans at Toyota Center Monday night were not able to defeat mother nature’s severe thunder storm in Houston!

Center Dwight Howard and many Rockets fans, who obeyed the Toyota Center’s message to not head out into the flooded streets of Houston Monday night, hunkered down and took shelter for a few hours at the arena. This became Howard’s unplanned extended post game conference as he enjoyed being stranded at Toyota Center with fans during the storm. Howard signed autographs while his son played fetch with some fans in the stands.

“The weather is pretty bad out, but this is a great place to be, the fans and everybody here,” Howard said “I feel like I’m at home.”

Howard mentioned his route home, as for many Houstonians who ended up parked for hours on the freeways, was flooded.

Funnyordie.com, created a hilarious Dwight Howard journal that noted every thought he had while stranded at the arena.

However, Dwight and the rest of Rockets team have safely made it out of Houston and are ready to play Game 5 in Oakland Wednesday night.
