David Beckham’s eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, has made headline news after participating in a secret tryout with British Premier League club Chelsea FC. The 13-year-old has high hopes of following in his dad’s footsteps by becoming a professional soccer player.
Brooklyn played on the Under 14 roster of the LA Galaxy Academy while his father played in California. Since then, the youngster hasn’t skipped a beat once returning to their home country.
David admitted that he is very hard on his two boys, constantly pushing them to get better and improve their footwork.
“I’m as hard on my boys as my dad was,” David Beckham explained. “They always ask, ‘Did I play well?’ I’ll say, ‘You did alright, could have done better’.”
