Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to rejoin Manchester United where he first became a soccer superstar. He will return to the Premier League team from Juventus on a two-year contract. Manchester United was the team that made Ronaldo the renowned player he is today. This emotional homecoming was bound to happen eventually.
United’s Confirmation of Ronaldo’s Return
“Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical,” a United statement read.
“Cristiano, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, has so far won over 30 major trophies during his career. Including five Champions League titles, four FIFA Club World Cup, seven league titles in England, Spain and Italy and the European Championship for his native Portugal.”

Ronaldo’s Success Over the Years
Ronaldo scored 118 goals in 292 games during his time at Old Trafford. The 36-year-old led his team to victory with 3 league titles and one Champions League in the 6 years he played for Manchester United. He then joined Real Madrid in 2009.
Later, he went on to play for Juventus in 2018.

Furthermore, Ronaldo broke the news via Instagram stating, “Today I depart from an amazing club, the biggest in Italy and surely one of the biggest in all of Europe. I gave my heart and soul for Juventus and I’ll always love the city of Turin until my final days. In the end, we can all look back and realize that we achieved great things, not all that we wanted. But still, we wrote a pretty beautiful story together.”

His future looks promising as his original team shares their excitement. “Cristiano has been a legend of this club, he is a legend of this club. He’s the greatest player of all time, if you ask me,” the United manager expressed during a news conference.
