Aaron Hernandez Involved In Jailhouse Fight

Former New England Patriots tightend Aaron Hernandez could face new charges after being involved in an altercation at the Bristol County in Massachusetts.

Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson told Rhode Island’s WJAR-TV that two inmates were involved in an “altercation” at the Bristol County House of Corrections on Tuesday and that “one of them was Aaron Hernandez.”

“We will be studying video and proceeding with interviews to determine why and how the incident took place to determine whether internal discipline or criminal charges are warranted,” said Hodgson.  It is unclear how the incident occurred since Hernandez is being held in isolation due to his high profile, away from the general population.

Hernandez is currently in jail waiting to be tried on charges of murder.  He has plead not guilty in the killing of Odin Lloyd.  The 24-year-old former NFL player is also a suspect in a 2012 drive-by shooting that occurred in Boston’s South End, killing two and injuring a third.
