Aaron Hernandez Charged with Murder, Prosecutors Reveal Details of Slaying

Update:  This afternoon in court prosecutors described the killing of Odin Lloyd.

The former NFL player and two friends allegedly picked up Lloyd from his home at 2:30am on June 17.  Surveillance footage from Hernandez’s home showed the 23-year-old leaving his residence with a gun and reportedly told someone at his house that he was upset and couldn’t trust anyone anymore.

According to the prosecutor, Hernandez and Lloyd got into a confrontation because Lloyd had spoken to some people that Hernandez had some trouble with.  Later that night Lloyd texted his sister saying, “Did you see who I am with.”  After his sister asked who, he responded at 3:23am texting, “NFL.”  A minute later he added, “Just so you know.”

Sometime between 3:23am and 3:27am workers at the industrial complex where Lloyd’s body was found heard multiple gunshots.  Investigators have not announced who they believe fired the shots.
