The Philadelphia 76ers announced Wednesday a six-year, multi-million dollar deal with cryptocurrency trading platform crypto.com. The team will bear the site’s logo as a jersey patch for all players and will even sell NFT’s through the site.
The Sixers are the second NBA team to partner with a crypto trading platform. The Portland Trailblazers inked a deal with StormX earlier this year in late June.
“Crypto.com will be woven into the fabric of our identity, and together, we will change the landscape for how crypto is integrated in sports,” 76ers President of Business Operations Chris Heck said in a statement.
Crypto.com already has a foothold in the lucrative realm of sports entertainment. The crypto exchange has partnerships in soccer, Formula 1 and the NHL. Their partnership with the Sixers is their first deal overall with the NBA.
