New York City Queens is a Houston based pop/indie/rock band started in the Spring of 2011 by lead singer and songwriter, John Stephens. Formed around their debut album, Somewhere Different, Something New, NYCQ have had the pleasure of performing with some of the finest bands in Texas, including Ringo Deathstarr, Wild Moccasins, Sundress and more. NYCQ are the debut artists of Regressive Records and have just released the video for their second single and title track, Somewhere Different, Something New. With every major city in Texas already under their belts, NYCQ are currently booking their first east coast tour for the summer of 2012.
