The legendary late Whitney Houston never officially released a live album collaboration of her music, but Grammy-winning record producer Clive Davis announced that he will release Whitney’s first-ever live album, titled Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances.
The album will be released on November 10th and will feature 16 live tracks for the CD and 19 performances for the DVD. Some memorable performances for the DVD will include Whitney’s 1983 appearance on the Merv Griffin Show, her performance of the “Star-Spangled Banner” at the 1991 Super Bowl, and her performance of “I Will Always Love You” from The Concert for a New South Africa in 1994.
Davis said in a statement that the album will “stun everyone”
“It definitely shows why she was totally unique, absolutely in the first rank of all time. For me, it’s been very emotional,” said Davis. “The set vividly confirms that there really was no one like her. It also makes the tragedy of losing her so young so very painful.”
