Wayne Newton Opens Home To The Public

Wayne Newton's Casa De Shenandoah is expected to open to the public by February.

Las Vegas legend Wayne Newton has been renovating his Las Vegas home, Casa de Shenandoah, into a tourist attraction for the last year, reports the Associated Press.

Casa de Shenandoah sits on a 50-acre estate and features animals from around the world. It is not uncommon to see Arabian horses galloping across the pasture and South African Penguins playing in the water.

Inside the estate visitors will be able to view Newton’s collection of celebrity mementos he has accumulated over the years. Some of those mementos include a guitar by Johnny Cash’s, Nat King Cole’s watch and a champagne glass Frank Sinatra used to make a toast to Wayne Newton. A wide array of Newton’s European antiquities will also be open to the public including impressionist paintings by Renoir.

The yearlong renovations have added a museum, theater and visitors’ center to the estate. Renovations are expected to be complete within the next couple months.

The estate is expected to open to the public by January or February.
