Watch: Radiohead’s Stop-Motion Video For ‘Burn The Witch’

After teasing some short Instagram clips early Tuesday morning, Radiohead has released the full video for their new single, “Burn the Witch.”

Directed by Chris Hopewell (who also created the video for “There There”), the stop-motion four-minute video tells the story of a little village preparing to burn a witch. According to Rolling Stone, the song “dates as far back as 2003, when the phrase appeared in the artwork of Radiohead’s Hail to the Thief.”

“Stay in the shadows / Cheer at the gallows / This is a low-flying panic attack,” sings Thom Yorke moments before the song’s refrain about burning a witch. “Red crosses on wooden doors/ If you float you burn/ Loose talk around tables/ Abandon all reason.”

Details of their upcoming LP, the follow-up to 2011’s The King of Limbs, has not yet been released.
