Watch: Black Eyed Peas Remake ‘Where Is The Love,’ Joined By Mary J. Blige, A$AP Rocky & More
In response to 2016’s frequent terror attacks – from the crisis in Syria, the Philando Castile and Alton Sterling deaths, and the murder of five Dallas police officers (to name a few) – the Black Eyes Peas decided to re-release their single “Where Is The Love.”
“I remember when the attack in Paris happened, people would say ‘We need “Where Is The Love?” again,’” said Will.i.am in a preview video. “And then Belgium happened, and then Turkey, and then Orlando, and then Philando, and then Alton before him, and then Dallas. Everyone was calling on us like, ‘We need that song again.’”
The song was original released in 2003 after the 9/11 attacks in New York City. The remake – collaborated again with Justin Timberlake – has a different melody from the original, with added vocals including: Mary J. Blige, Nicole Scherzinger, Audra Day, Jessie J, The Game and Usher.
