The Breaking Bad prequel, Better Call Saul, has unveiled a music video that reveals potential plotlines and some new footage.
The music video debuted on AMC Sunday night at the end of a Breaking Bad marathon. Country artist Junior Brown performs the song in front of an Albuquerque-like backdrop, with lyrics by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, the creators of the upcoming series.
The lyrics insinuate possible plot lines, with crimes ranging from drunk-driving to shoplifting to a creepy case of child abduction, as noted by Rolling Stone. “Your husband disappeared in the most convenient way / Now your troubles are gone, the insurance will surely pay / You get to the bank but the cops say ‘Whoa!’ / Who you gonna dial when they lock you down low?,” Brown sings. “Saul, Saul, you better call Saul / He’ll fight for your rights, when your back’s to the wall / He’ll stick it to the man, justice for all.”
Bob Odenkirk reprises his role of scummy lawyer Saul Goodman, years before meeting Walter White. Jonathan Banks, who played Mike Ehrmantraut on the original show, will be joining as a series regular.
Better Call Saul is expected to premiere sometime in February 2015. Check out the music video titled “Better Call Saul: The Song” below!
