Trace Adkins Enters Rehab After Cruise Ship Fight
Country superstar Trace Adkins has checked himself into rehab after getting into a fight with himself, literally.
The 52-year-old singer was headlining a seven-day country music cruise aboard the Norwegian Pearl when he reportedly got into a fight with a Trace Adkins impersonator in the ship’s karaoke bar on Monday night. A representative for the country singer confirmed that Adkins disembarked the ship in Jamaica to head to a rehab treatment facility for excessive alcohol consumption.
Previous to this incident, Adkins had been sober for twelve years after completing a rehab stint back in 2002. Ironically, on the first day of the cruise, Adkins tweeted, “Up here in my suite, overlooking the pools. Behave yourselves.”
In addition to Trace Adkins, country singers Montgomery Gentry, Wynonna Judd, and music duo Love and Theft were also performing on the Country Cruise. The cruise’s stops included Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Mexico.
