The Civil Wars Debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart

The Civil Wars have ended their quick voyage up the charts, landing in the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200 chart this week with their self-titled sophomore album.

The Civil Wars’ highly anticipated album The Civil Wars sold 115,878 copies to make it the band’s best single-week performance and highest chart position to date.  The duo’s previous highest sales week came after their performance at the 2012 Grammys when they sold over 35,000 copies, landing them at #10 on the Billboard 200.

The Civil Wars has also been successful internationally, debuting at #1 in Canada, #2 in the U.K. and #3 in Ireland.
