Country pop star Taylor Swift has announced that the next single from her record-breaking album Red will be “22”. Ryan Seacrest reported the news on Tuesday that the album’s fourth single will be released to American radio on April 1,2013.
“22” will be adding to her list of successful Red singles including “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” “Begin Again” and “I Knew You Were Trouble”. The record breaking album was released back in October 2012 and has sold over 5.4 million copies worldwide.
Taylor described “22” as an exhilarating song about uncertainties every twenty-something-year-old faces. Some of the song’s lyrics read, “We’re happy, free, confused and lonely in the best way / It’s miserable and magical.”
The song was produced by Swedish super-producer Max Martin and follows the same vibes as “We Are Never Ever” and “Trouble.”
