The Rolling Stones will celebrate their 50th anniversary by releasing a greatest hits collection of their legendary classics and the first new songs we’ve heard from the group since 2005’s A Bigger Bang. The new collection titled GRRR! will be available in a variety of formats, including a three-CD 50 track version and a four-CD super-deluxe version with a whopping 80 tracks.
The collection features everything from their first issued single, a 1963 cover of Chuck Berry’s “Come On”, chart-toppers “The Last Time”, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”, “Get Off Of My Cloud”, “Jumping Jack Flash”, and “Honky Tonk Women” to “Gloom And Doom” and “One Last Shot”, two new songs recorded in a Parisian studio last month.
In addition to the November 13th release of GRRR!, the group will perform four specials shows to celebrate their 50th anniversary around the world. Two of the shows will be performed at the O2 Arena in London and another two at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. According to Billboard Magazine, The Stones are expected to net over $25 million between the four shows.
GRRR! goes on sale worldwide on November 13, 2012. Visit www.rollingstones.com for more details!
