The soundtrack to “Rio 2” is getting an early release date!
The album will be released on Tuesday, March 25, just a few weeks before the April 11th release of “Rio 2”. Bruno Mars and Janelle Monae have lent their voices for both the sequel and the soundtrack, which also features hip hop artist B.O.B. Monae will be voicing the character of a veterinarian while Mars will voice Roberto, a childhood friend of Jewel, played by Anne Hathaway in the film.
The music from “Rio 2” will keep up with the tropical theme of the movie and feature the 15-member percussion group Barbatuques, in addition to Brazilian artist Carlinhos Brown and Milton Nascimento. The soundtrack also includes a music number sung by the film’s stars Anne Hathaway, Jamie Foxx, Kristin Chenoweth, Jesse Eisenberg, and Andy Garcia.
