RiRi is being sued for unpaid services that rack up to $150,000 worth of funeral arrangements provided for her last year when her grandmother, Clara Brathwaite, passed away.
The ‘777 Tour’ singer apparently owes the company that handled the funeral arrangements for her grandmother last year, but has only paid one-quarter of the bill and felt that the total amount was exorbitant and refused to pay the remaining balance. The Barbados singer threw a lavish funeral, according to TMZ, back in her hometown which included tents, multimedia large screens and also huge exotic floral arrangements.
Grandma Clara passed away when she lost her battle to cancer in 2012. Rihanna canceled a string of performances last year to be with her grandmother on her last few days. “She was a legend. She taught me a lot about forgiveness and loving my enemies,” Rihanna said in an interview with Oprah last year.
RiRi’s reps tell TMZ that these allegations are “completely false” and the singer has paid the balance in full.
