Rihanna and Nicki Minaj have both snagged 4 American Music Award nominations.
Drake, Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, One Direction and Usher each have three nominations, while Carrie Underwood, Chris Brown, fun., Gotye, J. Cole, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Luke Bryan and Pitbull have two apiece. Awards will be handed out in 20 different categories including the show’s newest one, Electronic Dance Music. David Guetta, Calvin Harris and Skrillex are all nominated for the AMA’s newest award.
So far, Christina Aguilera is the first announced performer on the show.
Rihanna, Bieber, Drake, Maroon 5 and Katy Perry, are up for the top AMA prize, Artist of the Year. Gotye, Carly Rae Jepsen, J. Cole, fun., and One Direction are all in the running for New Artist of the Year.
The American Music Awards will be broadcasted on Nov. 18th from the Nokia Theater.
