PSY to Return With New Song “Hangover”

Last Friday, May 31, PSY’s video for “Gangnam Style” became the first music video in YouTube’s history to hit two billion views. Now, the Korean artist is ready to build on the success of his mega-hit single and it’s follow-up “Gentleman” with the release of a brand-new single titled “Hangover.”

PSY has teamed up with Snoop Dogg for what has been labeled the “ultimate party anthem,” and it’s dropping this week – just in time for summer season. The new song will debut on Sunday, June 8, during a super special prime-time airing of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”. Both artists will appear on the show to debut the new song and a clip from its official music video and, after the show ends, the full version will be posted on PSY’s YouTube channel as well as the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” website.

The song won’t be available on iTunes and other digital retailers until Monday, June 9.

“Hangover” is only a teaser for the official lead single from PSY’s upcoming, as-of-now untitled album, which will be released later this summer. While the 36-year-old has released many records in Korea, including 2001’s Psy from the Psycho World!, 2002’s Ssa2, 2002’s 3 Mi, 2006’s Ssajib, and 2010’s PsyFive, PSY’s forthcoming album will mark his first U.S. release.
