One Direction Releases Montage Music Video for ‘History’

One Direction released a music video Tuesday for their third single, “History,” from their latest album Made in the A.M.

The video features many clips from the past five years of the lives of the group, who are currently on an indefinite hiatus. The old clips are interspersed between shots of members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson singing by a brick wall, including them competing on the X Factor in the U.K. where Simon Cowell put them together, filling stadiums with screaming and crying fans, and having fun backstage. Ex-member Zayn Malik, who left the band last year, is also shown in the montage. The video concludes with the group walking off in different directions after waving goodbye.

“History” was penned by Payne and Tomlinson, along with producers John Ryan and Julian Bunetta.
