With an album release date of November 13th, the group is poised to battle against another popular artist among teens: Justin Bieber.
Bieber’s first album in two years also has a drop date of November 13th. One Direction’s announcement has already caused fans of both One Direction and Bieber to feud on social media.
One Direction’s previous four albums – All Night, Take Me Home, Midnight Memories, and Four — have all topped the Billboard 200 chart in the first week of its release. Five of Bieber’s albums have also debuted at No. 1.
One Direction’s current single “Drag Me Down” peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and Bieber’s latest, “What Do You Mean?”, hit No. 1 its first week. Currently, the two songs sit at No. 24 and No. 2, respectively.
