“Demi and I, we’re business partners [and] obviously have a long history of being friends, but the key for us was about living in this moment,” Nick said on Good Morning America while promoting the tour with Demi. “Taking a step out individually over the last year and a half, two years, growing with our fans, and saying if there’s ever a time to do it, it’s now, to come together and do this tour.”

The duo are no strangers to touring together. ‘Future Now’ makes this the sixth time the two have hit the road together. Lovato opened up for the Jonas Brothers on their 2008 Burnin’ Up tour and joined them on select dates during their 2009 and 2010 world tours. When Nick went solo, the role reversed with the Jonas Brother opening up for Lovato on select dates in 2012 and 2014. He then served as musical and creative director on Lovato’s 2014 Neon Lights tour.
