Muse’s ‘Survival’ Official London 2012 Olympics Song

British rock band Muse has the official song for the 2012 Olympics in London.

“Survival” will be the inspiring rock anthem that will be played during medal ceremonies and when athletes enter the sporting venues. A clip of the song was broadcasted for the first time Wednesday on BBC Radio. Lead singer Matt Bellamy mentioned “Survival” was written with the Olympics in mind and that it “expresses a sense of conviction and determination to win”. “Survival” sounds amazing and Muse never fails to deliver.

Muse has been a very successful English band that formed back in 1994 selling 15 million copies of five studio albums. They won’t be the only English rock band representing in the Olympics this year. Other well know English artists like Elton John, Dizzee Rascal and The Chemical Brothers will be composing music as well for the London 2012 Olympic games.

Last month Muse carried the Olympic torch through their home town Teignmouth, Devon in southwest part of England representing the flames 8,000-mile journey to the games.

The London 2012 Olympics start July 27th – August 12th.
