Miley Cyrus to Host MTV’s 2015 VMAs

Miley Cyrus is set to host MTV’s 2015 VMAs next month. The “Wrecking Ball” singer announced the news on social media, joking that MTV won’t let her perform so she’ll participate in another way.

MTV also confirmed it:

Cyrus has an interesting history with the VMAs. She performed “We Can’t Stop” and “Blurred Lines” with Robin Thicke on the awards show back in 2013, in which she twerked and waved around a foam finger. Last year, she had a homeless man accept her award for video of the year for “Wrecking Ball.”

The 2015 VMAs will air on MTV on August 30th at 8pm CST.
