Miley Cyrus: ‘I Didn’t Have A Drug Overdose’
Miley Cyrus recently had to reschedule six dates of her “Bangerz” tour due to a severe allergy reaction she had to antibiotics that were prescribed to her. The reaction left her hospitalized for a few days, but now the “We Can’t Stop’ singer is addressing a rumor that she was hospitalized due to a drug overdose.
“I didn’t have a drug overdose,” she said. “I took some s****y antibiotics that a doctor gave me for a sinus infection and I had a reaction.” Miley tweeted an official statement she wrote on her iPhone on April 17th which explained the antibiotic Cephalexin that she was prescribed gave her an extreme allergic reaction.
“shut the f*** up & let me heal. stop scaring my family, friends, & fans. OFFICIAL STATEMENT”:
While speaking Tuesday during a press conference at London’s O2 Arena, Cyrus said that she” kind of took the natural route,” when it came to recovery, and gave credit to vitamins, yoga and honey.
“I’m probably the only one on this tour who doesn’t drink or smoke before a show, as I take this really seriously,” said the singer.
After postponing several dates on her Bangerz tour, the singer said, “you have no idea how ready I am. There is nothing I would rather not do than lay in bed for two weeks. It was the most miserable two weeks of my life.”
