Miley Cyrus has canceled her New Year’s Eve appearance in Miami to perform at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve instead. Cyrus will be the midnight performance while Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Icona Pop and Blondie will perform throughout the night on the show.
Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy are set to return as co-hosts for Rockin Eve this year. According to Seacrest, the “Wrecking Ball” singer could not pass up the chance to take over Times Square on New Year’s Eve. Cyrus will not be allowed to ride this ball when it drops though.
Seacrest stated, “We are going to have the country’s biggest party.” Co-host Jenny McCarthy agreed, adding, “There’s nothing like New Year’s Eve in New York with the energy and excitement from all of the people that gather throughout Times Square. … You never know what’s going to happen and, as the saying goes, what happens in Times Square is seen by millions of people around the world, so you better keep it classy. Or so they keep telling me.”
Fergie will host the show from the West Coast with performances by Florida-Georgia Line, Ariana Grande, Fall Out Boy, Capital Cities, Daughtry, Jason Derulo, Jennifer Hudson, Enrique Iglesias, Robin Thicke and The Fray.
