Next month, Michelle Obama is releasing a hip-hop album as part of her “Let’s Move” campaign through her partnership for a Healthier America and the Hip Hop Public Health Foundation. The album, titled Songs for a Healthier America, will consist of 19 tracks and will be geared towards children with themes of eating healthy and exercising.
The First Lady teamed up with multiple artists to make the compilation album, including American Idol winner Jordin Sparks, Ashanti, Doug E. Fresh, Ariana Grande, and DMC. Obama herself will not sing or rap on the record.
The album includes the songs “We Like Vegetables,” “Get Up Sit Up,” and “U R What U Eat” to encourage kids to live a healthier lifestyle and eat a better diet. Ten music videos will be released with the album.
The first single “Everybody” is now available and features Jordin Sparks, Dr. Oz, Doug E. Fresh, the Hip Hop Doc, and an appearance by the First Lady.
