MGMT Releases Self-Titled Album, Announces North American Tour

MGMT’s self-titled album officially released today on Columbia Records. In case you didn’t feel like waiting, the band’s third studio album had been available to download off iTunes all weekend. MGMT features the band’s new hit singles “Your Life is A Lie” and “Alien Days”

The band offered a bonus video for those who download the deluxe edition of the album called “MGMT (The Optimizer),” produced by live show video instrumentalist Alejandro Crawford. The “Optimizer” will give fans a simultaneously aural and optical listening experience that features video and CGI work for the album.

On Tuesday, MGMT unveiled the music video for “Cool Song No.2,” featuring Boardwalk Empire star Michael K. Williams, and announced their North American tour dates, which begins in November.
